Refining Week 2 Discussion Board Posts - What's your goal?

There continues to be great energy on the discussion boards. I wanted to pose a couple of examplars of goals for your prototype. Having a strong, concrete goal during this week will assist you with your two peer graded assignments - the one next week and the final assignment in Week 6. Keep pushing each other in the forums to make stronger goals. Here are some examples:
1. I want to better personalize learning for my English Language Learner students in a mastery-based model so that they are all working at their "just right level" and I know what that level is for each of them.
2. I want to spend more time developing deeper relationships with my students in order to motivate them to be successful, lifelong learners by structuring my class so that I get to meet with each student individually or in a small group twice as often as I currently do.
3. I want each individual student in my class to be able to articulate what they are learning and why they are learning it and apply what they are learning to their daily lives in order to improve student agency.

Many of you have posted such goals. Other participants' goals are more theoretical or too high level and if you do not refine them, will make your Week 3 and Week 6 peer assignments more challenging.

Week 2 is Live and the Final Assignment

We are excited to announce that Week 2 videos, assignments, and the discussion board is live and ready to go. Get started to learn about how the student experience is enhanced in high-quality blended learning environments. Keep up with the chatter on the discussion board - we saw some great threads!!

In response to a popular thread, we noted that many of you do not have access to a classroom of your own. In the Final Assignment section of the course, we have listed a few options for you so that you can still successfully complete the course. The final assignment is due November 26, 2013.

Good luck this week!
