Universal Language of Numbers

Mathematics is the study of numbers, shapes and quantity（数量）. There are several different branches（分支）of mathematics, including geometry（几何）and algebra（代数）. They are valuable both in science and in everyday life. Mathematics is the only language shared by all human beings. With this universal（普遍的）language, all of us are likely to arrive at maths results the same way. Maths helps us to explain the mysteries（神秘）of the universe or the secrets of DNA. We can understand the forces that keep the planets moving or work out the distance from Paris to Beijing.
