A Trip to the Cultural Promise —— Jiangsu

As traveling is the best way to study, I took a 7-day trip to Jiangsu Province, which is famous for its natural, historical landscapes, with my parents during the summer vacation. It was a truly memorable experience that made me learn a great deal.
 
The first city we visited was Nanjing. It is said that many important historical events took place there. For example, several emperors established their capitals in the city, and one of the wars between China and Japan occurred here. We first visited the Presidential Palace and the mausoleum of Sun Yat-sen. Walking through the ancient rooms and standing on top of the mountain, I deeply felt the power of history throughout the visit.
 
Then we arrived in Suzhou. The first spot we visited was the Humble Administrator’s Garden — a very famous classical garden in northern China. I walked along its winding paths,and crossed small graceful bridges, and stopped by shiny ponds. I really felt the perfect mix of human art and natural beauty. The way the garden was designed shows how ancient Chinese people valued balance and peaceful beauty. We also had a relaxing boat trip on the old canal. We passed old houses with white walls and black roofs, with willow trees shading the water. Every view looked like a real-life painting, sharing gentle and simple stories from the past.
 
This journey not only allowed me to appreciate magnificent landscapes and profound history, but also helped me understand how culture is preserved and passed down through generations. Traveling opens our minds and hearts, connecting us more deeply to the world and to ourselves.
