Last summer holiday, I had an unforgettable trip to Chengdu with my family. I was so excited to visit the city for the first time. When we arrived, we took a taxi to a comfortable hotel. Then we packed the things we needed and went to the zoo. It took us about one hour to get there. I had fun with my sister on the way.  

As soon as we arrived at the zoo, we saw many kinds of animals, such as rabbits, tigers, and giraffes. But my favorite were the pandas. Their big, shiny eyes and round bodies made them look like living teddy bears. I loved watching how they walked—slow and wobbly, like little drunks—which always made me laugh.  

After that, we went to a popular restaurant for lunch. We ate Chengdu hot pot, which was really delicious. But it was too spicy for me, so we ordered two glasses of lemon water. Drinking it made me feel much better.  

In the evening, we took a boat ride along the river. The lights from the buildings on the bank reflected on the water, and the scenery was breathtaking. Some people were walking along the river, relaxing after a day’s visit. The wind blew gently through my hair, and I felt so cool. It was one of the best nights I’ve ever had.  

We stayed in Chengdu for a week. I loved the city not only for its delicious food and beautiful sights, but also for its relaxing lifestyle. What a wonderful experience I had！ I hope to visit Chengdu again in the future.
