A Kind of Meaningful

When it comes to my favorite food, jiaozi (dumplings) always come to my mind. It is not only delicious but also very special to me. Let me tell you why and how to make it.

I still remember the first time I made jiaozi with my mother. I was a little boy and didn't even know how to wrap them properly. My mother taught me patiently. The taste was amazing—the soft wrapper and the savory filling. Since then, jiaozi has become my comfort food.

Making jiaozi is interesting. First, we need to prepare the filling. We usually use minced pork, chopped cabbage, and green onions, and mix them with some salt and soy sauce. Then, we prepare the dough and roll it into round wrappers. After that, we put the filling in the center of each wrapper and fold it carefully to seal. Finally, we boil them in hot water until they float.

To me, jiaozi is more than just a kind of food. It represents family time and my mother's love. Every bite reminds me of the happy moments in the kitchen with her.

That's why jiaozi is my favorite.
