Dear Diary,

I’m still so excited about our school trip to Jinggangshan last week! It was one of the most meaningful trips I’ve ever had.

We went to a history museum there. Our teacher told us stories about important people like Mao Zedong and Zhu De. We looked at many old photos, paintings and even real guns from that time. My favorite part was trying on the old uniforms — it felt like I was going back in time!

As we walked through the museum, I couldn’t stop thinking about the past. Those people worked so hard for us. This trip made me realize how lucky I am. I want to work hard at school now, so I can make our future better too.

This day will always stay in my heart.
