Today we went on a school trip to a farm.

 

It was a tiring but wonderful day! We left school at 8:30 a.m. and spent the whole morning exploring the farm. There were large greenhouses full of tomatoes, potatoes and cucumbers. The farmer told us all about how these vegetables grow and make their way from the fields to our tables. It was really interesting to learn that.

 

In the afternoon, we had lunch with fresh vegetables from the farm. They tasted so crisp and delicious! I especially loved the salad, because the vegetables were just picked. At 5:00 p.m., we got home.

 

Everyone had a great time today. We learned a lot about plants, and I realized vegetables taste so much better when you know how hard people work to grow them. I hope we can go on another school trip soon!
